The Institute for Eurasian Studies (ZEI) was established as a platform for the creation and development of all forms of cooperation between the Faculty of Economics and Business and institutions from Eurasian countries.
ZEI serves as a starting point for the establishment and support of international mobility of students and teachers from Europe and Asia, and a gathering of interested teachers and associates of the Faculty, as well as partner institutions from the Republic of Croatia, Europe and Asia.
Cooperation between the Faculty of Economics and Business and institutions from Eurasian countries will be based on an interdisciplinary approach to research with the aim of creating a platform for scientific and professional cooperation with partners.
ZEI would thus enable further strengthening of business relations, cooperation and communication between Eastern European researchers and their Chinese and East Asian or Western European counterparts. Major international projects, such as the 17 + 1 Initiative (with a focus on Central and Eastern European countries) as part of the Belt and Road Initiative, are also seeking stronger co-operation in the region.
Founded in 2020, independent and based at Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb, Croatia.
